Nicola Simon completed her studies in Urban Design in 2025 and holds a teaching position in the Urban Design Projects (UDP1&3). Her teaching focus is on supporting students in developing interdisciplinary ways of working within Urban Design, as well as guiding them through the diverse questions that arise during the projects.
In addition to her academic role, she works at STATTBAU Hamburg, where she coordinates the construction of collective and social housing projects. Her professional and research interests center on actively shaping a socially and ecologically sustainable housing market as a key element of (contemporary) urbanity.
