About the Lecture
"Das Reparieren gilt als kulturelle Praxis im Alltag. In Bezug auf räumlich gestaltete Umgebungen wird die Reparatur als Kulturtechnik der Zukunft diskutiert. Wie ist das Reparieren im technowissenschaftlichen Zeitalter und im Anthropozän zu denken als eine transformative Praxis, die vielfältige Formen von Umgebungen zu gestalten vermag? Der Vortrag führt in aktuelle Diskussionen und empirische Zusammenhänge ein und gibt einen programmatischen Ausblick darauf, welche Modi kultureller Produktionen damit einhergehen und am Arbeitsgebiet „Methoden urbaner Praxis“ an der HafenCity Universität erprobt werden."
About the Lecturer
As of 1 February 2025, Hanna Göbel has been appointed Professor of “Methods of Urban Practice” at HafenCity University in Hamburg. She previously worked as an acting professor for "Urban Anthropology and Ethnographic Methods" at HafenCity University between 2022-2024. Her research focus crosses urban studies, anthropology and sociology of the body, cultural sociology and cultural studies, science & technology studies, ethnographic methods. She is a sociologist and has worked as an academic member of staff at Universität Konstanz and Universität Hamburg. Currently, she works on bodily dis/abilities and (digital) technologies, aesthetic diversity of forms in society and design (together with Sophia Prinz, ZHdK Zürich), and on a sociology of audiences at the intersection of urban spaces and digital publics.
