Moving Meeting #10: Underground/Above Ground – What's at stake in public space??

Why does making art in public space matter? Who are we addressing, and how does exposing work in public space affect the surrounding environment? When does it become contentious — risky, and for whom?

In Moving Meeting #10, Prof. Dr. Hanna Göbel shares her research on public urban spaces, bodies, and affective cultures as a foundation for performative urban practices. Sina Saberi reflects on underground cultural work in Iran and how bringing dance “above ground” can create visibility, togetherness, and social resonance.

What to expect:

This session will begin with a physical entry by Sina Saberi, followed by an impulse presentation by Prof. Dr. Hanna Göbel and conversation with Sina Saberi, before moving into reflection and interactive exchange with all attending. Participation in all aspects of the meeting is voluntary and can be adapted to one’s needs and desires.
