27/06/23 “Designing with the Planet" Lecture by Laura Kemmer
Laura’s talk, “Designing with the Planet,” will draw insights from a project that seeks to empower urban and more-than-human riparian communities in São Paulo, Jakarta, and Berlin.
About the lecturer:
Laura Kemmer is an urban researcher who works on planetary health/healing, ecological evidencing and repair, and the kinds of collectivities and resistances that emerge from this. She is based at the University of São Paulo, where she holds the DAAD Martius-Chair for Humanities Research and Sustainable Development. Between Berlin and Brazil, she co-coordinates the Project "Designing with the Planet. Connecting riparian zones of struggle in São Paulo, Jakarta, and Berlin" (South Designs competition) and does research as associate member in the Project "Re-Scaling Global Health. Human Health and Multispecies Cohabitation on an Urban Planet" (Berlin University Alliance).
