Umweltbildung zum Thema Stadtgrün. 2023
In the following work, Marie deals with extracurricular environmental education in connection with urban green spaces. Background for this is the increasing detachment of humans from nature as well as the necessity to upgrade urban green spaces ecologically in view of climate change and the extinction of species. Marie focuses more specifically on the study area of Augsburg and explore the environmental education scene there. The methods for this research are diverse. The results of the research focus on four main fields: Actors, Measures, Places and Audiences. Using these four areas, Marie outlines how environmental education on urban green spaces is implemented in Augsburg.
After discussing these results, Marie then derives five approaches on how unused Potenzials in Augsburg‘s environmental education could be addressed. Finally, the paper concludes with a illustration of these five approaches using reference projects.
