Ingrid Breckner was professor for urban and regional sociology at HafenCity University hamburg. She lectured about sociological questions over urban developments and research methods in the study programmes Urban Planning and Urban Design. Her research interests and publications concern themes such as social inequality, (sub-)urban living, demographic change, mobility and migration, (in)security, energy efficiency, regional food production and eating cultures.
